Tokyo Sakura Festival Collection 2022
Illustrated an exclusive merchandise collection for the Starbucks Roastery in Tokyo to celebrate the cherry blossom festival. I was lucky to be able to connect with Starbucks partners based in Tokyo, which was a beautiful exercise in collaborating remotely so we could build a collection together that was culturally relevant and honored the beauty of the season.
My Role: Senior Designer. Illustrator.

First Blooms
The trees signaling the start of spring become a study in contrasts: pale pink flowers and a bright green bird / flowy blossoms falling and sharp lines of architecture / a delicate subject rendered with a bold treatment.
Inspired by the Roastery
A beautiful thought-starter that the Tokyo team brought was to look at the architecture of the Starbucks Tokyo Roastery. Both the giant copper cask with cascading blossoms and the origami-inspired ceiling came to life in the Sakura artwork.
